Assist manager with the day to day operations of the Thrift Shop. Receives and documents donations as required. Responsible for pricing and categorizing all merchandise received. Oversees Shop Associates and volunteers in absence of management. Maintains the appearance of Shop. Plans and executes window, floor and all displays according to established image plan, utilizing Shop donations and reflecting merchandising trends. Works with Manager to establish pricing guidelines and oversees pricing of all merchandise. Able to prepare bank deposits. Able to effectively work with staff and volunteers. Demonstrates outstanding customer service and service excellence.
High School graduate or equivalent.
Retail experience, strong customer services skills, some supervisory experience preferred. Merchandising and cash register experience required. Ability to plan and execute window/floor displays. Experience and knowledge of pricing a wide variety of merchandise.
Excellent interpersonal/communication skills required. Creative, artistic, organized, detailed oriented and flexible.
Large selling floor, large storage area, usually crowded donation area and small office. Some exposure to hazardous items. Handling light objects most of the day, occasional effort with light to heavy weight objects. Standing and/or walking for most of the day.
